Extension Agent, Family and Consumer Sciences

La Wanda (Pegi ) Wright joined Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) in June, 2007 as the Family and Consumer Science (FCS) Extension Agent for Caroline and King George counties.  FCS programs address the needs of families and individuals as identified by county residents and the Extension Leadership Council.  In a holistic approach, the FCS program offers research based information in the areas of  nutrition and health, financial management, and family and human development throughout the life span.   In her role, Pegi gives practical information regarding general nutrition/meal planning, food safety, parenting, child care, elder care, and personal finance for youth and adults.  She works collaboratively and in partnership with Extension colleagues, volunteers, public agencies, and other community partners to serve individuals and families---- in their community, home, and workplace.
